180mm nakiri with iron and #2 white steel blade, hand forged and hardened to HRC 64 with octagonal ho wood handle and horn ferrule, blade is light and thin with a distinctive rhomboidal cross section; it is thickest about 1″/ 25mm from edge rather than at the spine. This makes for a tiny bit more resistance during cutting but there is less friction and sticking of starchy and or wet vegetables that normally stick to the sides pop off smoothly during cutting.
