Unused Dexter hand ground carbon steel mirror finished carbon steel and rosewood 10" scimitar from the 1950's to 70's.
Before Dexter was best known for their inexpensive white handled stainless they made a big variety of knives utilizing industrial and hand work from the big pool of skilled labor in the North East which was the capital of American Cutlery.
This is the higher end of the Dexter butchery knives, the mirror finished knives were the top shelf of the Dexter line-up, its great to find one in this nice a condition especially a knife style and size that is key of so many butchery kits.
While this blade is bright it is not stainless, expect a patina to form with use, it can rust so no dishwasher or soaking. Clean and dry after use.
10" blade, 15.5" overall length
