Landers Frary & Clark Set of 12 Luncheon Knives Silverplate Carbon MOP In Box

Landers Frary & Clark set of 12 luncheon knives in very red, ultra luxe box. Knives are forged silverplated carbon steel with unusual knurled pattern silverplated ferrules with mother of pearl handles. 

Most of the 'triple plate' silverplate on the blades is intact, there is some wear and loss from rust in some, 7 of the 12 have been soldered back together at some point, the solder is visible but not too terribly distracting.

4 3/4" blades, overall lengths of 8 to 8 3/8", handles are different sizes.

It's hard to very accurately date this one from the small amount of the stamp that was present but this is most likely a 19th century knife. LF&C was in operation from 1865-1965 roughly at one point LF&C was one of the largest knife making outfits in the USA and was a huge kitchen equipment maker as well.

Like all other culinary knives these should never go in the dishwasher, knife handles will come loose with high heat (dishwasher, stove top etc), carbon steel can rust if left wet or dirty.
