Placing Orders on

Thank you for your business! Please review our terms and conditions below carefully before placing your order. If you need help with checkout or have any questions about our Terms and Conditions feel free to give us a call (415) 355-0773. 

All online orders are picked up by our third party shipping company at 11am Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 

If you need expedited shipping services such as next-day, overnight shipping, please plan accordingly as we will not be able to make an extra trip to the post office outside of our 11am pick up times listed above.

We always check over your product before shipping. All of our knives are made by excellent craftspeople. We do not sell “defective” products. Please refer to our Knife Care Section and review the difference between carbon and stainless knife care. 

If an order is damaged in shipping, the buyer will have 72 hours to notify us of the problem. Please provide the following: photos of the original box before it was opened, how it was packed, what the damage is, and save all original packaging while we start processing an insurance claim for you. Claims can not be made after 72 hours and exchanges will not be issued. 

All sales are final online and in-store. We do not offer refunds. Any item that is exchanged will be applied as in-store credit towards a different item. Any exchange must be approved by Bernal Cutlery with the original packaging and receipt and be processed within 10 days. We will not accept exchanges after 30 days. Any used items will not be exchanged at full retail price. 

All items shipped back to Bernal Cutlery must be sent by the buyer insured and with signature confirmation. 

We take all of our photos in-store. Sometimes product can vary, such as finish, handles, ferrule, reflections, etc. The product you see is an example of what we have. 

When placing vintage and honyaki orders please specify if you would like us to put an edge on before shipping or we will ship them as is. 

California Tax rates will be calculated automatically for district and state sales tax. In some cases your state might require a use tax which is the responsibility of the buyer. 

In rare cases, we reserve our right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
