The acid-etched mark indicates it is post-1880, as earlier knives were hot-stamped, these were made up to the 1920s it seems, a definitive cutoff is difficult to place exactly. Always a great quality knife from Lamson with this mark however.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe blade was full but had some disfiguring grinding marks, so it has been refurbished by thinning the blade and removing the bulk of the grinder marks.
