Small rectangular koppa with lots of surface to weight ratio. Being skinny they might benefit from being glued to a wooden base.

Koppa are small sized or oddly shaped stones that are cut from the same stock and preform the same as larger more regularly shaped premium stones but are far less expensive. These are nearly benchstone sized, their price lower than usual as they are not individually graded, they are all good for knives mostly in the LV 3-4 range of hardness and fineness.

Shoubudani:

A ‘Higashi-mono’ (Eastern Mine Stone), The Shoubudani mine produces some of the higher quality natural whetstones that are akin to Nakayama mine stones in their beautiful finish.
