An old Navaja style ring pull / external spring knife with the classic etching of 'Vendetta Corsa' and 'Morte al Nemico ' on reverse side etched on the blade; a classic 18th / 19th century style knife, made in Thiers France for Au Sabot with stainless steel blade, external spring, ring lock release and horn handle scales with brass shield.
It should be noted these are fairly roughly finished, the price reflects this. Expect small ‘flaws’ in the horn etc.
This knife draws on Navaja footprint it utilizes a very old external spring and ring pull release with a classic Navaja style ratcheted tang that makes a rattle noise when opened. This knife style would be the 18th/19th century version of the 1950's switchblade stiletto.
Established in 1870, Au Sabot works with numerous independent workshops of the Durolle Valley around Thiers France, the capital of French knife making.
