Helle 'Fossekallen' triple laminated stainless steel fixed blade. Curly birch handle, with leather sheath. Blade is 90mm with 205mm overall length.

Fossekallen is named after Norway’s national bird, the "White-throated dipper".  It has the same well proportioned shape as its bigger brother – the Eggen.  This knife is sanded by hand to a satin finish and well-shaped to offer comfort during long carving sessions. It offers a secure grip with a significant finger stop. A perfect all-round outdoor knife offering great versatility.

Helle knives was founded in 1932 by brothers Steinar and Sigmund Helle, whose father, Bernt, was the town blacksmith in Holmedal, Norway. The original workshop was run without electricity and the first knives were bicycled through the mountains of Norway to be sold in Oslo. Helle knives are still made in Holmedal, where hand-work and the use of quality materials is still central to the production of knives. These knives are tested by Helle team members in the rugged mountains and fjords of Norway.
