$88.00

T12 stainless steel blade is 9 cm. Closed length is 11.5 cm.

A model from 1914-1918. With a stainless steel locking blade spring, woodburned boxwood handle, matte finish. The lock is unusual, has a ratchet system similar to the Spanish navaja knife.

Nontron knives are produced in the village of Nontron by Coutellerie Nontronnaise. They feature a turning ferrule that dates back to the 1600's that holds the blade in a locked position. The Boxwood models feature patterns burned into the wood that make little 'flies,' although no one is quite sure what they represent.
