This series is forged at Tanaka Hamono (the same Sakai workshop where the old Fujiyama series were forged) knives by Konosuke and ground by Myojin Naohito. The new grinder has been working with Konosuke for a few years now and his work is outstanding. Both of their work together is top notch, we are super happy to introduce these.
Konosuke, a Sakai-based company, works with top skilled blacksmiths from all over Japan. Konosuke’s knives spare no attention to detail, from the heat treatment and grind to the packaging. Their focus is on their hometown of Sakai City, where the Kawamura family has operated for many generations.
