 J A Henckels model 224-12" forged (not stamped) carbon steel scimitar made in Solingen Germany in the 1950's, later ones are stamped with a straight tang (this tang is tpared) and pre-war ones are very similar but have a pinned rather than riveted wood handle.

This knife has been used but still has lots of life left, it has not been thinned and resurfaced as the blade is still very full and there are not so many pits to the surface.
