Chef knife made in Eskilstuna, Sweden, from approximately the 1950s to the 1970s with a carbon steel blade and tropical hardwood (kotibe?) and brass handle. 

The knife appears to be stamped rather than forged; the blade was sharpened just enough to warrant a thinning, it should be noted that the blade bends a little bit to the left (pointing it away from yourself). 

That said, knives from Eskilstuna are less common, and the steel used would be some of Europe's best, Sweden having some of the best iron deposits in the world.
