This version of the KA-BAR logo was used on fixed blade knives from 1923-53 and this knife is likely from that time period as well. 

Knife has been sharpened down from a chef knife width and re-handled and the pommel ground into a rounder than original shape. Tropical hardwood with aluminum rivets.
