English style cheese scoop (especially for use with stilton) with silver-plated forged carbon steel scoop and neck, silver-plated ferrule and endcap on stag handle. 

There are a few patches where the silverplate has started to come off from the scoop, but nothing severe. 

Like all other culinary knives this should never go in the dishwasher, carving knife handles will come loose with high heat (dishwasher, stove top etc), carbon steel can rust if left wet or dirty, expect a patina to form with use.
