Vintage Dexter carbon steel and rosewood 10" scimitar from the 1950's to 70's.
This knife had been a but thick behind the edge from being sharpened down a bit. It has been re-profiled and thinned but is about 1/8" narrower and shorter than original dimensions. It is however the proper thickness behind the edge to get back to work and enter its second act.
Before Dexter was best known for their inexpensive white handled stainless they made a big variety of knives utilizing industrial and hand work from the big pool of skilled labor in the North East which was the capital of American Cutlery.
This blade is not stainless, expect a patina to form with use, it can rust so no dishwasher or soaking. Clean and dry after use.
10" blade, 15" overall length
