J.A. Henckels 10" Bullnose Butcher Knife Carbon Steel Solingen ~1900

Antique 10" bullnose from J A Henckels, approximately from 1900 +/- 15 years, judging from the stamp. Its possible it was not for export as there is no "Germany" as would be required from the United States after 1891 and Henckels exported a lot to the USA. So, it is either pre-1891 for export to USA, or post-1891, not made for export.

Blade is hand forged carbon steeel and the handle is a brass pin and disc riveted European hardwood, possibly cherry. 

The handle had some gaps, which has been discreetly filled with epoxy; no cracks or loose rivets, though. Blade has seen plenty of use, but no abuse, it is not too sharpened down either. A less commonly found age for this type of knife from Henckels.
