Tsushima Nagura Bench Stone LV 3 Hardness LV 2-2.5 Fineness

Tsushima nagura bench stone from old mine in Kyushu, these are similar in finish to aoto but without inclusions, these are analogous to a 2-3K in finish although it’s hard to directly compare synthetic stones with a measured grit to naturals. These will provide a coarser finish when used without slurry and with higher pressure, with the accumulation of used semi dry slurry the finish will become finer. 

These are easy to use, make a great edge for toothy knives that do not benefit from a finer finish or as use in a progression of stones after a more aggressive medium stone and before a finer finish. 

These are lacquered to prevent them from falling apart, it is important not to soak these, similar to other naturals.
