Fast and easy to use, a rare combination of soft but fine, very mellow and buttery feeling Aiiwatani stone which makes a fine and bright kasumi finish with good contrast. Makes a great edge, highly recommended for making a fine finished edge with a tiny bit of bite.

A somewhat small narrow but long stone, capable of getting full long strokes on, just watch your fingers from falling off.  Black line at very top of stone intersecting Kyoto stone assn stamp is 'toxic' -hard and scratchy but is gernerally out of the work surface of the stone. There are several surface crasks on the other end of stone along the lines in the brighter patch.

Dimensions: 185mm long 42mm across /22mm thick

Asagi:

This aesthetic term refers to the general color of the stone. Typically, Asagi stones are grey, light blue, greyish-blue/green, and tan. They are usually quite clean stones that are on the harder side. However, softer Asagi stones are great for knife polishing.

Nashiji:

Meaning ‘pear-skin’, this aesthetic quality looks like tiny brown/pale dots on the stone. This quality can look similar to Su-holes on Suita stones as well as be a quality on Suita.
