2022 will also witness the creation of the GT family. The original GT in triple laminated steel entered the scene way back in 1997, proving hugely popular right from the start. Now it will be joined by a version in 14C28N stainless steel.

The GT looks like a friendly giant and has always behaved like one. With new steel, this proven workhorse can take on an even wider array of tasks.

To make it more easily distinguishable from the original, we have dressed the new GT in genuine black leather with white stitching.

Helle knives was founded in 1932 by brothers Steinar and Sigmund Helle, whose father, Bernt, was the town blacksmith in Holmedal, Norway. The original workshop was run without electricity and the first knives were bicycled through the mountains of Norway to be sold in Oslo. Helle knives are still made in Holmedal, where hand-work and the use of quality materials is still central to the production of knives. These knives are tested by Helle team members in the rugged mountains and fjords of Norway.
