The typical Corsican knife, proudly made with Zuria brothers, Corsican knife makers from Bonifacio (southern Corsica). 

Handle: Patterned curly birch.

Blade: Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel, 3 mm thick.

Hardness: 58-59 Hrc.

Size & weight: 12cm folded, 21.5 cm open, approx 130 g.

Spring & bladestop: The spring is made from a 3mm thick stainless steel Z20c13. A solid bladestop is provided on all of our springs: that shall keep a long time the edge of the blade. Instead of the traditional solid bee and forged into the spring you'll see the embossing of the Corsica Island. The whole spring is hand chased with a file.

Plates and bolsters: 4 mm thick solid Stainless steel bolsters on 1.2 mm thick plates.

Assembling: traditional hand made silver nickel rivets.

Included : numbered guarantee certificate, simple leather pouch.

The 'Corsican Vendetta' knife was invented in Thiers for tourists visiting Corsica in the latter half of the 19th century. It has made it's way into the lexicon of regional French knives even though it owes it's origin to imagination.

Fontenille Pataud is a small family business located in Thiers, in the beautiful Auvergne region in France. Thiers is world famous for its manufacturing of knives and cutlery.

They are well known for their Laguiole style knives, but other regional styles including the Vendetta (from Corsica), Yssingeaux, Saint-Bernard, and Basque knives.
