J Russell & Co Green River Works "one armed man's knife" with carbon steel blade and a cast pewter and cow bone handle.

Designed after American civil war to help amputees by including a fork and knife in one utensil. These were made for a long period of time but this is on the earlier side of production having a hot stamped marking which etching replaced in 1880.
