Western 4.25” ‘bird and trout’ knife made in the 1950’s or 60’s with carbon steel blade, stacked leather handle with vulcanized rubber spacers and aluminum pommel and leather sheath.
Blade had been sharpened at a steep angle so it has been thinned along the face to bring it back to a correct geometry. There is a small amount of shrinkage in the leather handle but no looseness. Leather sheath dried a little and has some discoloration from rust but is still healthy.
Western made good knives and this time period is still with them at their prime.
