Tichet 13.5" slicer made in Paris in the late 19th or early 20th century. Hand forged carbon steel blade, brazed seam nickel ferrule and walnut handle.
This knife was sharpened in enough to make the edge somewhat thick, it has been ground on the faces to thin it back to its original thickness.
Tichet was one of the few knife makers to continue to make knives in Paris and have a distinctive geometry and feel.
Blade is 13 1/2" along cutting edge with a 1 5/8" wide heel and is 19" overall weighting only 6.8 oz
