Tomo-ish nagura off cuts from newly cut Aiiwatani and Shoubudani stones mined in the 1960’s. All stones are lapped flat on one side with a lacquer coating to protect the stone from de-laminating.
These are great for use on a hard stone to either make a hazier polish to help pre-polish or to remove a glazed surface or to smooth a freshly flattened stone or just jump start a slurry.
These stones are not individually graded for hardness but will range from level 3 to 4 on a level 1-5 scale (5 being the hardest).
