Made in Sanjo Niigata these forged high carbon shirogami 1 Japanese tailor shears offer precise smooth cutting and hold an edge for a long time, they definitely perform way above their price point. Brass hardware will not rust or get stuck, easily adjusted or taken apart for sharpening.
Shirogami 1 is a modern reproduction of the old hand made tamahagane Japanese steels used for tools and famous in sword making. Shirogami 1 has very low contaminants and a high carbon content making it capable of taking a very fine edge.
