Made in Greenfield Massachusetts by the great Nichols Bros. Hand forged shear steel with brass riveted walnut handle.

One of the greats of the old 19th C Massachusetts makers, not as prolific as others but always happy to find their knives.

Wood has shrunk a little but is still tight and secure, blade has been sharpened in some but not too much, it has been struck on the spine quite a bit, but with a fresh sharp edge.
