Partial ikebana flower arranging kit with bamboo splitting knife, saw, and single bevel chisel tipped knife in original case. These tools were made for creating woven bamboo elements and for cutting woody stems. The heavier double bevel mini-cleaver looking tool is sometimes mistaken for a food preparation knife but it is for splitting bamboo.

There would have originally been a pair of shears and one other tool, but these are missing. Made in Tokyo during the post-war 'Occupied Japan' period of 1945-53.

These show very little wear and have nice snug fitting sayas. The original red and black decorative case with latch shows some wear and tear, but is in good condition.
