Handmade wooden utensils from Odawara, Japan, where wood-working has been a regional craft since the Heian period (794-1185). 

This rice paddle has numerous dimples each created by hand, to prevent rice from sticking. Made with a deeper curve to facilitate easy scooping. 

Made from North American maple wood. 

As they are each made by hand, small differences may exist between products. 

Not for the dishwasher. Do not leave soaked in water.
