Fontenille Pataud, founded in 1929 in Thiers, France, is known for crafting high-end folding knives and table cutlery. Under the leadership of Gilles Steinberg, the company reimagined traditional Laguiole knives with modern features like lock-back mechanisms and one-piece construction. All knives are made in-house, combining fine materials—such as Damascus steel and premium woods—with detailed hand-finishing. Their Le Thiers® and Laguiole models feature intricate filework and precise fit.
