A modern take on the traditional Japanese condiment of shichimi (literal translation: seven flavors). Created specifically to blend seamlessly with non-Japanese dishes like pasta, steaks, curries, cheese, etc-- but of course goes well with Japanese dishes as well like yakitori. 

Traditional Shichimi is usually made from red chili, hemp seeds, black sesame, sansho, aonori ("green seaweed'), poppy seeds, and dried mandarin peels. 

Black Sumi Shichimi aims for a fragrant, impactful addition to your dish with a blend of black beans, hemp charcoal, gobo (burdock root), green chili pepper-- in addition to the traditional Shichimi ingredients of hemp seeds, sansho, and red chili pepper.
