Nogent Style AKA Cuisine Massive slicer made in Paris in the late 19th or early 20th century for the Carl Tove store at 143 Reeperbahn in Hamburg Germany.
Hand forged and hand ground blade is very very thin and flexible 2/3 from the tip, the ferrule is old style brazed nickel sheet fitted to an ebony handle.
A great example of old French knife-making with an interesting history I'm sure. It was hard to find out much about the Carl Tuve shop but Reeperbahn is a famous district in Hamburg
10.75" blade, 15.5" overall 3 oz
