Collas-Pradel-Dozolme New Vintage 4" Alpin Knife Chabreloche 1950's

New Vintage Collas-Pradel-Dozolme 4" Alpin pattern knife made in Chabreloche (near Thiers) France in the 1950's. Blades are carbon steel (some marked Pradel Alpin, some not) with dyed beech handle scales. These knives are unused but look to have been 'cleaned up' with a buffing to the handles and a re-surface fine grinding on the blades, there are signs of past rust on the bolsters and at the ricassos). The look to have originally had a bail (loop on the end of handle) that have been removed as well. Mechanisms are a little stiff opening, no wiggles open but some are a little lazy closing, others have some snap. Might improve with oiling, priced accordingly.

Not expensive knives in their day and still not.
