Trade In Minamoto Akitada Hontanren 255mm Gyuto Aogami 2 Ho

Trade in gyuto in good condition without original packaging. This iron clad carbon steel knife showed signs of use through some deep isolated oxidation and some surface scratches in the kireba bevel from aggressive steeling. It has been cleaned and polished to remove some surface oxidation and corrosion and most of the original finishing features have been restored. Some of the light surface scratches remain but will come out when the knife is thinned. The kireba appears to be quite even which will make for a cleaner appearance after thinning. This knife comes with a fresh BC edge.

Minzuno Tanrenjo was established in Sakai Japan in 1872 and is currently being run Noritada 'Jun' Mizuno who acts as lead blacksmith. Their family forge has been nationally recognized and have played an important part in honoring Japanese heritage in the 20th century through select-commissioned pieces.
