Modern reproduction (made in India?) of an 18th century English table knife with 6.5" blade forged with integral bolster and with brass pinned horn hafts.

Heavier than the original Georgian period knives which had thinner blades but true to its shape and dimensions, this knife would have been paired with a very small two tined fork and represent the table knife design about 100 years after Cardinal Richelieu is said to have designed the first dedicated table knife in Europe having the points of his knives ground off in the early 17th century. Some versions of the story have it he was irritated by daggers and pointed knives used at the table to pick teeth, stab meat and ultimately to be stabbed into the table. Another common explanation for the adoption of the rounded tipped table knife lies in pointed daggers and fixed blade knives used as weapons in drunken tavern brawls. Given that water was usually not a good drinking option alcohol was in large supply where meals were served and the presence of pointy things didn't always mix well.

In any case, the original pre-industrial revolution table knives turn up very very seldom compared to post industrial revolution table knives, this makes a great conversation price at your next dinner party where this would do great as a serving knife.
