Soft Aiiwatani are less common but can be nice stones, this one has a soft but slightly sizzly feel, very easy to use making a very hazy finish. 

Easy to use and in a nice benchstone shape, it does hae some hard spots that needed to be picked out, otherwise a nice stone for knives that do best with a lower polish or as a pre-polish for a harder finer stone.
