This short scimitar knife was made in Solingen, Germany, in the 1950s to early 60s, judging from the half-birdseye brass rivets on the solid wood (ebonized pear?) handle. This was made before hand grinding was abandoned in Solingen production, like this, but after hand forging was the standard. 

This knife is in excellent condition it has been sharpened very little and seen no major rust, the handle is free from cracks.
