Vintage J Russell Green River Works 14" Flexible Slicer Carbon Steel Ebony 1874-1930?

Lovely Antique Russell Green River Works hand forged carbon steel 14" slicer with 4 pinned ebony handle in excellent used condition. Blade is free from pits or heavy wear and the handle is nice and secure with no cracks or big gaps.

J Russell was one of the very first American cutlery makers and was located in Greenfield Massachusetts the epicenter of American knifemaking and the American industrial revolution. in 1874 they moved to nearby Turner's falls and that is when this knife dates from.
