Foster Bros 12" Lamb Splitter Hand Forged Carbon Steel

Vintage / Antique Foster Bros Lamb splitter bullnose cleaver, with hand forged blade, steel ferrule collar and pinned grooved hardwood handle.

This is an older production Foster Bros. it has seen a lot of use, and has been sharpened in plenty and has some pits from rust as well as some dings on the spine but the blade still has lots of life left and the handle is super secure. Blade has a decent convex edge not from us but its servicable, there is a fresh microbevel, it could be thinned more behind the edge to give it a bit more finesse if desired, otherwise this thicker convex edge will do fine.
