Mahoney’s Utility Finish Walnut Oil - 4oz

This concentrated, heat-treated walnut oil from California woodworker Mike Mahoney, is a major arrow in our knife restoration quiver, powerful for bringing back lost moisture and color to old wood.

It is self-hardening with exposure to air and UV light, so after penetrating dry wood and hardening, it no longer feels oily or greasy. This oil is specially concentrated with controlled heating that does not denature (harden and curl) the proteins in the oil, giving it finishing properties that plain old walnut oil for food use will not have.

Made and bottled in Mt. Aukum, California.
