Medium fine cut post war F Dick steel with chrome plated brass or nickel fittings and stag handle. 

Steel has seen some use, but is in great shape, handle is nice and secure with no damage steel is nice and lively and brings up a great edge on Western knives and many Japanese monosteel knives that aren't super hard. F Dick steels are harder than most metal honing rods and work on a bigger variety of steel hardnesses than the average honing rod.
