Hand forged 10" bullnose English style blade slicer from Landers Frary and Clark of Connecticut made approximately from 1890 to 1920s. The LF&C Universal brand was used between 1865 and the 1960s but this one is likely from late 19th or early 20th century.

Hand forged carbon steel blade has been sharpened in very little but the blade face shows scratches and light pits. Handle is what looks like rosewood and has a steel ferrule. The tang is held into handle with compression and cutlers cement, keep it from getting too hot in a dishwasher or on top of hot surface (don't dry on cooling but still hot griddle for example), it has a few shallow cracks but is held fast and secure.

Blade is freshly sharpened.
