Vintage Nogent style 3.5" carbon steel paring knife, marking is partially lost but the remaining 'Hand Forged' with image of a dagger is pretty great. Many older French knives had pictorial trade marks, one interpretation is that many cooks in the past were illiterate and a pictoral trade mark was more memorable. That might be true, but they are also memorable for those that can read, especially this little dagger.
Handle is possibly walnut or pear wood, it is free from cracks or defect and the blade is sharp.
3.5" blade, 7.75" overall length
1.12 oz
