Interesting knife here, an old American pewter bolster and star inlayed carbon steel cheese knife re-ground with a serrated edge. There is no other bread knife out there like this one most likely. 

Marks are gone but this was most likely made in New England approximately from the 1890s to 1930s, possibly older.
