Zirh Turkish Mincing Knife 600mm Carbon

Hand forged Turkish zihr mincing knife with carbon steel blade and hardwood handle.

Made for use with a rocking motion, these large blades make quick work of mincing meat, herbs and vegetables together. Think of it as a giant single handled mezzaluna or hachoir.

The texture and resulting flavors of food cut with these zirh are distinct, theres a very good reason these have not been entirely replaced by electric grinders in the Middle East. We are really happy to have finally found a source for them.

Please note these are roughly finished, blades often have small rust spots and handles can have small nicks or chips. 

Blade is 22” as a crow flies from tip to heel, 26.5” overall length, approx 4 3/4” wide.
