J. A. Henckels 108-10” chef knife made in the end of their production of solid wood handled carbon steel; hand ground after initial drop forging (no secondary hand forging on this era) with riveted European walnut handle. Likely 1960’s possibly early 70’s. Definitly at the end of the era of old style Solingen hand ground carbon steel Henckels.
This knife is in excellent used condition, it has only been sharpened several times with no abusive treatment, wood handle shrunk a little bit but is free of cracks or issues.
This model 108-10” is a dream knife for many vintage knife fans for good reason, light and nimble but capable of getting a lot of work done. Easy to sharpen and with good edge life these are always nice to find.
10.5” from tip to end of bolster, blade just under 2” wide 15.8” overall 7.65 oz
