Seth Stowaway - Osito
Chef Seth Stowaway, a Texas native, has made a name for himself in San Francisco’s food scene by blending his Southern roots with California’s seasonal bounty. After honing his skills at top restaurants like Mister Jiu’s and Bar Agricole, he launched Osito in 2021, a Michelin-starred, live-fire restaurant in the Mission District that celebrates communal dining and bold, flame-kissed flavors. His approach to cooking is deeply personal, drawing from childhood memories and life experiences to create dishes that feel both nostalgic and innovative.
Committed to mentorship and fostering a supportive workplace culture, he challenges the toxic norms of traditional restaurant environments, believing that great food comes not just from skill, but from a team that feels valued and inspired.
