Hinoki Cutting Board Stands

A stand for your cutting board that allows for quick drying of your wooden cutting boards. The grooves of various widths on both sides allow for versatile use. Can also hold up lids of pots and pans, including donabes. 

Designed and made by the craftspeople who make cutting boards from Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. 

Each one is made by hand by a 85 year old craftsperson. 

Nemoto-san cuts each groove by hand with a saw, refines it with a chisel, and finishes the surface with a hand plane.
