Wood Tools The Carving Axe

The carving axe by wood tools was designed to accommodate as large a variety of carvers as possible. The 19.4 oz (550 grams) head has a wide blade area with flat bevels and a handle length of 12.5" (31cm). It's mid weight size offers enough punch to remove wood effectively yet is light enough to facilitate controlled work without excessive fatigue.

These are carbon steel, care must be taken to avoid rust.

Protect the edge with a guard. 

Father and daughter team Robin and JoJo Wood lead the production of wood carving tools specially designed for spoon carving.

The designs are based on their their combined experience in carving paired with  Robin's decades of experience forging tools while using and teaching spoon carving throughout the UK.
