Fontenille Pataud Sperone 12cm Pocket Knife Curly Birch Lockback

Hand made in France by Fontenille Pataud with a stainless blade, stainless bolsters and corkscrew, and hand filed spring (no lock on this one) at the butt of handle which is hafted in curly birch wood.

The 'Corsican Vendetta' knife was invented in Thiers for tourists visiting Corsica in the latter half of the 19th century. It has made it's way into the lexicon of regional French knives even though it owes it's origin to imagination.

Fontenille Pataud is a small family business located in Thiers, in the beautiful Auvergne region in France. Thiers is world famous for its manufacturing of knives and cutlery.

They are well known for their Laguiole style knives, but other regional styles including the Vendetta (from Corsica), Yssingeaux, Saint-Bernard, and Basque knives.
