Washiginton Cutlery Co "Village Blacksmith" 8" Hand forged after drop forged carbon steel slicer from approx 1900 to 1940. 

 Village Blacksmith was a brand of Washington Cutlery Co. in Watertown Wisconsin 

Village Blacksmith made a lot of different knives but this was a very distinctive one based off a 19th century German butcher knife.

This knife was originally wider and has been thinned to bring it back to its original thickness.
